Margrit is a seasoned life science executive, entrepreneur and board director with a passion for innovation and drug discovery in the cardiometabolic and cardiorenal space. She brings extensive leadership experience from a 25+ year career in global biopharma and startups and has led preclinical R&D and IND-enabling phases for multiple development candidates, including the therapeutic antibody Repatha, launched in 2015 for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia. Margrit has held VP roles at Roche and at Boehringer Ingelheim and has served as Director Research Amgen, CSO Genevant, COO DraupnirBio, and CBO HepaRegenix. Margrit was a Board Director at Altamira Therapeutics, she is currently a member of the Advisory Board of EvlaBio and Immunethep, and a member of the Board Director Pool at the European Investment Bank. Margrit has been active in mentoring and coaching startups since 2016, first as a Mentor at MassConnect in Cambridge MA, and since 2020 as Mentor & Business Coach at the European Innovation Council and the EIC Women Leadership Program. She is also a contractual Expert at Innosuisse, and a member of Biorigin, the Entrepreneur-in-Residence team at Novo Holdings, Denmark.
