About Carl
Having started life as a chemist, Carl was always drawn to explore more areas to develop personally and, moving first to Clinical Research and then outsourcing and procurement, he became fascinated by the subtleties of interpersonal communication. He spent many years balancing effective cross-company teams and advising senior management on strategy, handing budget and managing strategic relationships, moving from large to small pharma and back, biotech and vaccines included, from the UK to Belgium before finally settling in Switzerland.
In 2013 he got formally accredited as a coach and set up his own company, InsideOut Solutions in Basel. Since then, Carl has spent time organizing and moderating conferences,
teaching leadership skills and conflict management (amongst other topics) at universities across Switzerland; he has facilitated leadership and team workshops, and coached individuals on their next career step.
For the last 10 years care he has volunteered extensively with the Healthcare Businesswomen Association (HBA) and holds a special advisory position supporting women’s leadership programs, as well as delivering workshops on a variety of topics.
