Alain is an experienced Health Tech Innovation Strategist with global international experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently he is Venture Partner at Clarma Capital to scout for Healthcare startups to invest in. He has lead innovation efforts at F.Hoffmann-La Roche for more than 14 years focusing on future healthcare technologies and establishing partnerships with Health Tech partners. He has extensive experience in digital transformation, culture change (podcast on agile transformation) and managing innovation accelerator programs incl. collaborations with digital health startups. He has mentored multiple digital health ventures across the value chain of healthcare from early diagnosis to postmarketing support and patient engagement. He has lead and implemented the first Digital Innovation Lab in Informatics, which is now a successful network of innovation labs across the world. He works very closely with the innovation ecosystem to build connections to universities, industry, healthtech partners, startups and investors. In addition Alain has mentored multiple startups and has been part of multiple healthtech accelerator programs (incl. The Vertical Board for Health & Wellbeing from Kickstart Innovation) He is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week to support Entrepreneurs across the globe.
Alain is a trained Agile coach (Design Thinking, Scrum, agile organizational design and coaching) and has extensive innovation management experience (setting up an innovation lab, innovation programs, open innovation, crowdsourcing)
He has lead and set up a global community of practice across Roche Pharma and Diagnostics business units, including R&D and the commercial organizaton incl. affiliates to support the business to innovate and integrate innovation methodologies and frameworks to solve business challenges
